USATT Heading Back to the Bright Lights of Las Vegas for 2024 US Open Table Tennis Championships

USATT’s Five-Star Event Returns to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Convention Center  for What is Expected to Be the Largest US Open in the Organization’s 90-Plus Year History

(Colorado Springs, CO – June 16, 2024) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”) today announced that the organization will host the 2024 US Open Table Tennis Championships at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Convention Center located directly on the world-famous Las Vegas, Nevada, Strip. The playing hall for the competition, which will run from December 16 – 21, 2024, is expected to cover the largest footprint for the US Open since the event’s inception in the early 1930s.

This marks the third time in recent history that USATT has hosted a major five-star table tennis tournament at Mandalay Bay. The organization held consecutive events - the 2021 US Nationals and the 2021 US Open – at the expansive and luxurious hotel and casino facility located on South Las Vegas Boulevard. But this year’s event will be held in a larger space at the newly renovated Mandalay Bay Convention Center, which should offer the organization the creative flexibility to ensure that the 2024 US Open is one of the most exciting events in the history of the organization – as well as make the entire event a destination experience for table tennis enthusiasts throughout the world, including the reigning Men’s Champion, Jinbao Ma, and the Women’s Champ: Paris Olympics qualifier Amy Wang.

The prospectus and hotel information for the 2024 US Open Table Tennis Championships at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Convention Center is expected to be released – and registration is expected to open – in the early fall of 2024.
