First Adult & Junior National Team Trials Tournaments of 2025 Set for January and February

USA Table Tennis (USATT) is pleased to announce dates and locations for the first of two national team trial events in 2025.
Adult National Team Trial #1 | 888 Table Tennis Center (Burlingame, CA) | January 23-26, 2025 |
Junior National Team Trial #1 | Westchester Table Tennis Center (Pleasantville, NY) | February 13-17, 2025 |
The Adult and Junior National Team Trials are part of a new, dynamic selection procedure implemented by USATT’s High Performance Committee for 2025. The new system considers performances across several domestic competitions and world ranking (for adult and older age groups). The top 8 players with the highest points earned during each weekly update will be named to the National Team for a minimum of 6 months.
Summary of Revised Adult & Junior National Team Selection Procedures 2025
The Adult National Team will be selected according to points earned through:
- World Ranking (within top 300)
- Adult National Team Trials #1 Placement
- Adult National Team Trials #2 Placement
- U.S. Nationals Performance in Men’s/Women’s Singles
- U.S. Open Performance in Men’s/Women’s Singles
The U15, U17 and U19 Junior National Teams will be selected according to points earned through:
- World Ranking (within top 100)
- Junior National Team Trials #1 Placement
- Junior National Team Trials #2 Placement
- U.S. Nationals Performance in Age Group
- U.S. Open Performance in Age Group
- Best Single Regional Championship Performance in Age Group
The U13 and U11 Junior National Teams will be selected according to points earned through:
- Junior National Team Trials #1 Placement
- Junior National Team Trials #2 Placement
- U.S. Nationals Performance in Age Group
- Best Single Regional Championship Performance in Age Group

Registration for the Adult National Team Trial #1 is now open on OmniPong. The entry window for the Junior National Team Trial #1 will open in the coming weeks.
