2024 Coach of the Year Nominations Open for USA Table Tennis

USA Table Tennis (USATT) is thrilled to announce the opening of nominations for the 2024 Coach of the Year Awards. This annual honor celebrates the remarkable dedication, expertise, and impact of coaches who have shaped the sport of table tennis in the United States.

The year 2024 has been a momentous one for table tennis in the U.S., marked by extraordinary achievements on the international stage. Among these highlights:

• Ian Seidenfeld delivered an inspiring performance at the 2024 Paralympic Games, earning a Bronze Medal and solidifying his place as one of the world's top para table tennis players.
• The U.S. Men's Team made history by clinching the Gold Medal at the 2024 Pan American Championships, a first for the nation and a testament to their hard work and resilience.
• The U.S. Mixed Team achieved an impressive Top 8 finish at the ITTF Mixed Team World Cup, showcasing the depth and versatility of American talent.

These accomplishments underscore the critical role that coaches play in preparing athletes for success at the highest levels. Their guidance, strategy, and mentorship are the backbone of these victories, and USATT is deeply grateful for their tireless efforts.

Nominations for the 2024 Coach of the Year Awards are now open in the following categories:

• Mark Nordby Developmental Coach of the Year: Recognizing coaches who have contributed significantly to the development of young and emerging talent.
  2024 Mark Nordby Developmental Coach of the Year Form
• National Coach of the Year: Honoring coaches who have achieved exceptional results at the national and international levels.
  2024 National Coach of the Year Form
• Paralympic Coach of the Year: Celebrating coaches who have excelled in guiding para-athletes to success.
  2024 Para Coach of the Year Form
• Para Developmental Coach of the Year: Recognizing coaches dedicated to nurturing and developing para table tennis talent.
  2024 Para Developmental Coach of the Year Form
• Volunteer Coach of the Year: Honoring individuals who have selflessly given their time and expertise to support table tennis programs and athletes.
  2024 Volunteer Coach of the Year Form
• Doc Counsilman Science Award: Recognizing a coaches contributions to the sport by utilizing scientific techniques/equipment as an integral part of his/her coaching methods, or has created innovative ways to use sport science.

USATT invites the table tennis community to submit nominations for deserving coaches who have made a lasting impact in 2024. The deadline for submissions is January 10, 2025 and winners will be announced shortly after.
