New Financial Aid for Female Olympians
by World Olympians Association
WOA’s Olympian for Life awardee Simidele Adeagbo OLY has launched an Athlete Grant programme through her SimiSleighs Foundation.
A one year program will provide financial support to female Olympians and those hopeful of becoming an Olympian who are training to represent their country at the Paris 2024 and Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic or Paralympic Games. The grants will help cover training and competition expenses, provide meaningful personal and professional development experiences and access to a global network of elite athletes.
“As an athlete, I understand all too well the difference access to crucial resources can make,” said Simidele Adeagbo OLY, founder of the SimiSleighs Foundation. “Making these strategic investments through our Athlete Grant program will help so many deserving women around the world who are currently in need of support. , Now is the perfect time to elevate our comprehensive support of a new generation of female athletes with Paris 2024 on the horizon and the road to Milano-Cortina 2026 just beginning .”
