Winners of U21 Women Singles at US Open 2021

(Colorado Springs, CO - December 17, 2021) - Friday marked the beginning of the U.S. Open in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Day one had 17 events and hundreds of competitors arriving, ready for their chance to claim gold. 

The first person to claim Gold was Marina Leitman in the Women’s Over 40. “I feel okay, I didn’t play my best but I still won today,” said Leitman.

The next winner saw Jiaqi Lin win 1st place in the U21 Women’s Singles. “I feel very happy because I get very lucky to beat everyone today and become champion,” said Lin. Although the scoreline was 4-0, Lin had nothing but respect for her opponent. “She is good, but I think I got better because my returns is very weird for her,” Lin said. 

Today's rating events were as follows: U1000 RR, U1700 RR, U2000 RR, U2600RR. Today’s age events were as follows: U13 Boys & Girls Singles, U15 Boys & Girls Singles, U21 Mens & Womens Singles, Over 40 Mens and Womens Singles, Over 70 Mens & Womens Singles. Results for each event can be found below. Saturday brings another 18 events, along with the stacked Women’s and Men’s Singles Open. Big names such as Lily Zhang, Nikhil Kumar, Kai Zhang, Lei Kou, Zhen Deng, Jiaqi Lin and many more will be competing.
