(Colorado Springs, CO – December 17, 2024) – USA Table Tennis (“USATT”) today announced that each of the four elite athletes nominated to serve on the seven-member USATT Athletes’ Advisory Council were approved to serve in this position by the vote of USATT’s 10 Year Elite Athletes. Jishan Liang, Jessica Reyeslai, Logan Watson, and Xiangjing Zhang were all approved to serve a four-year term on the USATT AAC beginning on January 1, 2025.

Tom Feng, who was recently elected as the Third Athlete Representative on the USATT Board of Directors, will serve as the Chair of the USATT AAC. Ian Seidenfeld and Tahl Leibovitz, previously elected as the First and Second Athlete Representatives to the Board, respectively, will round out the seven-member Council.

The mission of USATT’s AAC is to protect the rights of athletes while fostering communication between USATT and table tennis athletes who are actively engaged in USATT athletic competitions and have represented the United States in international competition. The responsibilities of the AAC include maintaining active communication with the members of the represented athlete pool, USATT’s management and staff, the High-Performance Department, and other key stakeholders on important matters impacting athletes’ lives. The AAC also provides an avenue for athletes to voice their concerns, as well as to assist in the development of selection procedures for international competitions, including the Olympic, Paralympic, Pan American and Parapan American Games.

USATT would like to congratulate the four elite athletes approved to serve on the USATT AAC and thank all of our athletes for their service to our organization and their fellow participants in the sport of table tennis.
